Title:
Technician/Consultant
You will
be working with the BOLD Technologies team and its clients
to:
-
Install, troubleshoot and repair local
area networks.

Diagnose and repair software issues.
-
Diagnose and repair hardware issues.
The
Majority of these challenges will be resolved by you at the
customer's business or via remote support. Candidates must possess the
ability and the confidence to communicate directly with
client business owners in a variety of industries. This is a
very challenging position, not just the same old boring I.T.
routine of working for just one company. You will experience
the diversity of working on multiple networks, each with its
own characteristics and needs. Because our clients are small
to medium businesses, they generally move very fast with
technology and are able to embrace the latest offerings. In
other words we usually
work with some rather cool hardware and software.
Requirements:

MCP required
-
MCSE+I preferred
-
Minimum of 4 years related work
Experience:
-
Strong diagnostic skills
-
Designed and implemented networks within
businesses
-
Windows 2000/XP/Vista/Server
2003/SBS 2003.

Internet/WAN experience, T1, DSL, e-mail and router configuration
-
Server Administration: ability to perform
daily tasks
-
Ability to install, configure and
diagnose most major software applications
-
Microsoft Exchange configuration
-
The ability to learn and implement the
latest technology
-
Website Design is a plus,
but not necessary
Travel:

When and if required
within Oakland and Macomb Counties.

Hours:

Normal working hours are 8-5, Monday
through Friday

Weekend and after hours work on occasion
(very rare)
A BOLD
Technician will essentially become the I.T. Department for
many small businesses. You will be the primary resource for
all your client’s I.T. needs. These needs may range from
printer problems to entire new networks. No more than two
clients should be visited per day. Most technicians go
directly to a client’s site from their home in the AM and
visit another client on the way home in the PM. Accurate
communications and scheduling are provided by BOLD
Technologies, and include: cell phones, pagers, PDAs,
Internet access to schedules and e-mail, and coordination
with office administrators.
